The following applies to those who are registered for Runes of Magic and Bounty Bay Online on their Frogster Account.
In order to ensure better security for our players we have been working intensively for the past few months on adjustments of the password function for Runes of Magic. This resets all Runes of Magic account passwords. Through this it has been made possible to set up different passwords to access the game, account system and forum.
In addition, new passwords must satisfy the following requirements:
. At least 6 characters, max. 32 characters
. At least 1 number
. At least 1 capital letter
. At least 1 lowercase letter
To guarantee maximum security, it is necessary to set 3 different passwords.
In order to ensure the security of our players while we implement the new system, it will be necessary to reset the passwords of all Runes of Magic players that registered before the 4th of November 2010 at 04:00 CET (03am UK). So if you have an integrated Runes of Magic Account in your Frogster Account please pay attention to the following steps!
On Thursday, the 4th of November 2010 starting 4:00 CET, we will send an email to all registered players as stated above to inform our community of this change (see screenshot).
Follow the easy to reproduce steps in the email. This will take no longer than 5 minutes.
. Click on the link in the email
. Click the button on the page
. After clicking the button an email will be sent, including your new passwords (Game Account, Account System & Forum) and a key for *10 Event Keys and 25 Diamonds!
. Any other change of passwords thereafter works as usual over the account management system.
These wide-ranging measures ensure better protection against hackers.
